Another case of deception and Islamist sexual grooming / Love Jihad comes from Dehradun in Uttarakhand state. Here, around 4 years ago, a Muslim youth named Mohd Samshad reportedly befriended a Hindu girl by impersonating himself as a Hindu by introducing himself as Tushar Verma, and gave the girl a job in his office.

Subsequently, finding an opportunity to enact his ulterior motives, Samshad allegedly gave the Hindu girl intoxicating pills, took obscene videos of her, and then raped her. The victim was shocked to later discover that he was a Muslim.

Samshad kept on blackmailing the victim girl using the captured videos and sexually harassed her multiple times. She started living with him due to his compulsions and fear of society. According to the girl, he also extracted money from her by blackmailing her. In 2020, unable to tolerate his harassment she separated from him and started living with her father.

However, Samshad again pleaded her and convinced her to return to him. One day she was experiencing physical weakness and nauseating feeling. The next day she found a camera in the room and found that, the previous night, Samshad had sexually assaulted her, with her being in an intoxicated condition. The victim broke down narrating her ordeal to the local Uttarakhand news media, Parvat Jan TV.

According to the victim, Samshad has trapped many girls in a similar manner through deception and providing intoxicating food items. The victim recently approached Bajrang Dal activists for help, and as per reports, the police have arrested him and is investigating the matter. Notably, Samshad was a vegetable seller previously, and was able to accumulate much property thereby using and cheating such Hindu girls under duress.
