Ahmed Iqbal Bukhari arrested for sexual assault on 12-year-old Hindu girl

In a disturbing incident in Gujarat’s Khambhalia, a 20-year-old individual, Ahmed Iqbal Bukhari, hailing from a wealthy background, has been apprehended by the Khambhaliya police for heinous crimes against a 12-year-old minor Hindu girl. The shocking details reveal a series of offences, ranging from relentless stalking to coercive demands for ‘friendship’ and, horrifyingly, culminating in sexual assault.

Reports indicate that the accused, Bukhari, consistently pursued the minor girl, making inappropriate advances and pressuring her for unwarranted favours. His actions escalated to the point where he publicly accosted her, demanding sexual favours and physically assaulting her.

Tragically, the situation reached its most sinister phase when Bukhari committed the heinous act against the young victim. The gravity of the offences prompted the Khambhaliya police to invoke the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act in arresting Ahmed.

The initial complaint was lodged by the minor Hindu girl herself, who bravely reported Ahmed’s persistent stalking and the traumatic incident near Kalyanji Mandir. Residents intervened promptly upon hearing the girl’s distress, apprehending Bukhari before alerting the authorities. Subsequently, the father of the victim filed a formal complaint, leading to Bukhari’s arrest. The accused resides in the Bhaththi Chowk area near the Mutton market.
