In a disturbing case of love jihad, a Muslim man identified as Afzal Siddiqui has been accused of trapping a Hindu girl in the name of love. The incident has come to light from Uttar Pradesh’s (UP) capital Lucknow.
Afzal Siddiqui traps a Hindu girl
According to available information, Siddiqui befriended the Hindu girl and established a sexual relationship by making false pretenses of ‘love’ and fake promises of marriage. The accused even recorded obscene videos of the victim, which he used to blackmail her. Furthermore, he got the fetus aborted when the victim became pregnant and abused her physically when she opposed it. He is now pressuring the girl to embrace Islam from Dubai, where he is currently based.
He reportedly threatened the victim, saying he would make her obscene videos viral on social media platforms Instagram and Facebook if she opposed him. The victim is getting such threats from Dubai and Bahrain. A case was registered against Siddiqui and his family by Gomatinagar Police on the basis of the victim’s complaint.
Victim’s ordeal
As per the victim’s statement, she came in contact with Ujariyaon Village’s resident Siddiqui two years ago at Janeshwar Mishra Park. He befriended the victim and trapped her by pretending to be in love with her. Subsequently, he took her to his house and several hotels on different occasions, where he established sexual relations with her. The victim eventually became pregnant.
She accused Siddiqui and his sister-in-law of getting the fetus aborted after making the victim undergo an ultrasound to confirm the pregnancy. The victim was even beaten up when she opposed their move. Siddiqui moved to Dubai last June and is threatening the victim to embrace Islam from there.
When the victim protested, the accused and his relatives, Imran Khan, Ishaan, and some others living in Bahrain, threatened to circulate the video on Instagram and Facebook. The said people are also sending obscene videos on the victim’s mobile. Recently, when the victim reached the accused’s home and protested, his family members also beat her up severely. Gomatinagar Inspector Deepak Pandey said that a case has been registered against the accused, and further investigations are underway.
