A day after the results of Assembly elections in four states were announced, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said the results showed that “people have rejected negativity” and urged the opposition “not to vent the frustration of defeat” inside Parliament.

The Prime Minister was addressing the media ahead of the Winter Session of Parliament.

He also said the results of the Assembly elections were very encouraging for those who are committed to the welfare of the common people.

The Prime Minister said, “Political temperature is soaring.”

He said that on Sunday the results of the four-state elections came out.

“The results are very encouraging. Encouraging for those who are committed to the welfare of the common people of the country and to the bright future of the country,” PM Modi said.

“After the election results, this session presents a golden opportunity for the opposition to progress with a positive mindset. I request all MPs to come to Parliament with preparation. They must shed the negativity they have been carrying for nine years and proceed with positivity. Please do not vent the frustration of defeat in Parliament,” the Prime Minister said.

He also urged the opposition not to protest “for the sake of it”.

“This is for your benefit. The Opposition has a significant role in a democracy. Please understand it. The country does not want to halt on the road to development,” the Prime Minister said.

The Prime Minister also reiterated that there are only four “castes” in the country — women, youngsters, farmers and the poor.

“Those focused on the empowerment of these groups through proper policies and last-mile delivery get a lot of support,” he said.

The jibe at the opposition parties came a day after the BJP’s thumping victories in the Assembly elections of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh.

Parliament’s Winter Session is beginning on Monday and will conclude on December 22.

Gehlot’s OSD launches scathing attack against outgoing CM for Cong’s debacle in Rajasthan

Lokesh Sharma, the OSD to Ashok Gehlot, on Sunday launched a scathing attack against the outgoing Chief Minister by holding him solely responsible for Congress’ debacle in the Assembly elections, the results of which were announced on Sunday.

The BJP swept the polls by winning 115 seats in the 199-member Assembly to oust the Congress, which was reduced to just 69 seats.

“I am hurt by the results, but not surprised. Congress could have undoubtedly changed the customs in #Rajasthan, but Ashok Gehlot ji never wanted any change. This is not the defeat of Congress, but of Ashok Gehlot ji.

“The party fought the elections under Gehlot’s leadership, giving him a free hand and according to him, he himself was contesting on every seat. Neither his experience, nor magic worked. Congress did not win with the help of his plans, nor did the immense ‘pink’ campaign work.

“Despite being a three-time CM, Gehlot brought the party down. Till date, he has only taken from the party, but has never been able to help the Congress retain power in the state,” Sharma said.

And Sharma didn’t stop here as he went on to use phrases like “cheating with the high command”, “not allowing correct feedback to reach the top”, “not allowing anyone to become an alternative”, “continuously taking wrong decisions out of narcissism”, “being surrounded by immature and selfish people”, “ignoring all feedback and surveys”, “allotting tickets to his favourite candidates”, etc. to target the outgoing Chief Ministers.

“The results which came out today were certain. I myself had told this to the Chief Minister earlier, I had warned him many times, but he did not listen… In fact, he didn’t like any person who told the truth,” Sharma said.

It needs to be mentioned here that Sharma wanted to contest the polls from Bikaner, but Gehlot had emphasised that state Education Minister B.D. Kalla should seek renomination from the seat.

Sharma had also asked for a ticket from Bhilwara, but was denied.

“I traveled continuously for six months, met people, organised dialogue programmes with thousands of youth, covered about 127 Assembly constituencies and submitted ground reports to the CM.

“I put all the details on the table so that decisions could be made by taking corrective steps on time… I myself had expressed my desire to contest the elections, first from Bikaner and then on the request of the CM from Bhilwara, the seat where we were losing for 20 years.

“But he was in no mood for an experiment. And for B.D. Kalla ji, I had told six months ago that he would lose the elections by more than 20,000 votes, and that’s what happened,” said Sharma.

“Yogi Adityanath is on the right track on Halal: It is Jizya imposed on unsuspecting Indians”, Swarajyamag, November 25, 2023:

“The Uttar Pradesh government’s decision to ban certain halal certifications is the first step towards preventing a mullah-takeover of food and non-food certifications, a right which correctly belongs to the state.

The ban, which excludes products intended for export, will be condemned as a “communal” act by the Yogi Adityanath government, but it is the widespread use of such certifications, which Hindus have to willy-nilly accept, that should be called “communal”.

The UP government order says strict legal measures will be implemented against any individual or firm engaged in the production, storage, distribution, buying, and selling of halal-certified medicines, medical devices, and cosmetics within the state……”

“The silent suffering — Stories of Hindus in Bangladesh”, Swarajyamag, December 3, 2023:

“The house in Bashudebpur, in Bangladesh’s Rajshahi district, where my father was born, still stands.

Shrouded in the omen that “there dwells a god,” no one dares tear it down for fear of death or affliction in the family.

In the past few years, as Deep Halder and Avishek Biswas have travelled extensively to Bangladesh to chronicle the fate of the Hindu in the country, I’ve thought often of the house where Baba was born.

And I think of that fateful day when my prescient grandfather sold the property to settle across the river, in Jangipur, Murshidabad. But that wasn’t the fate of authors Halder and Biswas….”

“In Chhattisgarh’s Saja constituency, BJP candidate Ishwar Sahu, a labourer by profession and a riot victimdefeated Congress sitting MLA and Minister Ravindra Choubey who had won the seat seven times in the past, by 5,196 votes. While Ishwar Sahu garnered 1,01,789 votes, the Congress candidate came in the second spot with 96,593 votes.

In Bhupesh Baghel’s cabinet, he was serving as parliamentary affairs minister of Chhattisgarh. From 2009 to 2013, he was the leader of the opposition in the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly.

On the other hand, Ishwar Sahu is not a career ‘politician’, he is a labourer and riot victim, whose son was killed by a Muslim mob, who was fielded by BJP against Congress’ veteran leader on this seat. During campaigning, Ishwar Sahu repeatedly launched a scathing attack on Congress’ sitting MLA and said that as a public representative, Ravindra Choubey did not fulfil his duty…..”

“Muslim journalist repeats claim about Prophet Mohammad’s marriage with young Ayesha, which was pointed out by Nupur Sharma, wins praise by Islamists instead”, Opindia, December 1, 2023:

“On Friday (1st December), former Indian Express ‘journalist‘ Irena Akbar tweeted the same thing that former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma had said, with several fellow Islamists agreeing with her. She tweeted (archive) a racist cartoon of a Hindu man (dark-coloured skin with saffron tilak), stating his objection to the Islamic Prophet’s marriage to an underage girl. “Your Prophet married a 9-year-old!!!” the cartoon depicting a Hindu man said.

A ‘fair-skinned’ man, bearing a skull cap and representative of the Muslim community, is shown to defend Prophet Muhammad. “Yes and? Aisha’s father had no problem. Aisha’s family had no problem. Aisha’s tribe had no problem. Even the arch enemies of the Prophet had no problem.”

The ‘dark-coloured’ Hindu man is shown crying over the antecedents of the Islamic prophet and saying, “We have a problem.” The ex-Indian Express ‘journalist’ conceded that Prophet Muhammad married an underage girl. “Alhamdulillah,” she said……”
