BJP against Hamas sympathisers in Kerala

How entrenched is Hamas in Kerala’s Muslim society? On the 7th of last month, as part of College Arts Day celebrations at Milad-E-Sherief Memorial College (MSM), Kayamkulam, students marched in the city dressed as Hamas terrorists brandishing fake weapons. Allegedly, authorities who failed to prevent the march facilitated it and have refused to take action against the perpetrators and the masterminds behind this propaganda.

BJP Alappuzha district president M.V. Gopakumar said that the communist and congress governments that have alternated in Kerala have only created terrorist organisations and extremists. He was inaugurating the police station march, which was held to arrest the college students who marched in the city dressed as Hamas terrorists, the authorities who facilitated it and the masterminds bringing them to justice.

Political pressure has led the local police to remain silent despite public indications that militancy is flourishing in Kayamkulam. This is alarming to the general public and the Muslim community. The strange reply of the police is that the activities of Hamas have not been banned in Kerala, and therefore, no action can be taken on the BJP’s complaint.

Both parties (political outfits that ruled Kerala) have shielded terrorists by targeting the vote bank. The district president also alleged that the terrorist demonstration, which was carried out to incite other religions, is a sign of a big calamity to come.

Early in April, social media users noticed footage of a demonstration by a group of young people marching through Kayamkulam’s public streets while wearing black clothing, concealing their faces, and holding fake guns. It seemed like footage of armed demonstrations by Hamas terrorists, which many countries consider a terrorist organisation.

The youths marched through the road so that only their eyes could be seen, covering their hands and faces. Its video has gone viral on social media. The note below the video says that they are the followers of Hamas.

Many ‘protesting children’ were holding Palestinian flags. Their performance in broad daylight, showing the ISIS seal with only the index finger raised, alarmed nationalists. Bharat supports Israel following the Hamas attacks on 7 October, 2023.

Tipusultan Fans, a pro-SDPI Instagram account, posted this video. Major media houses refused to report the incident. They did jump in once the videos went viral and tried their best to whitewash the incident.

Police said it was just a demonstration by college kids. College principal A Muhammad Taha said it was a video of the pro-Palestinian demonstration by the ‘children’ that day. He alleged someone had twisted its meaning and circulated it on social media.

Several ‘secular’ videos and images of the same Arts Day event appeared on social media. Are such terror sympathisers dangerous for our society, and do we need pseudo-secularism? Who worked behind and instigated those students?

Earlier this month, NDA Alappuzha Lok Sabha candidate Sobha Surendran posted the same pro-Hamas video and tagged the Central Home Minister and the NIA.

Hamas in Alappuzha? Congress and CPM have empowered radical outfits such as SDPI in return for their votes to such an extent that they are carrying out processions dressed as Hamas terrorists. Indians were injured and killed in Hamas attacks in Israel, including 32-year-old Soumya Santosh. The terror outfit’s sleeper cells in Alappuzha are a wake-up call, she noted.

Hypocrisy?

In May 2022, Aryancode police in Thiruvananthapuram District registered a case against ladies participating in a Durga Vahini Path Sanchalan (route march). Durga Vahini is the women’s wing of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP).

The Popular Front of India (PFI) leaders had filed a complaint alleging that swords were used during the march. Based on this, the police registered a case. PFI has a history of kicking off violence using false allegations.

That year’s celebrations were held at Sree Saraswathy Vidyalayam School (SSVS), located at Neyyatinkara, Thiruvananthapuram. The schedule was from 15 to 23 May. In connection with this, the Durga Vahini procession on the 22nd is the basis of the complaint.

This was also a period when public anger against PFI terrorists was running high. In late May, HinduPost reported that PFI had used 10-year-old boys at a rally held in Alappuzha to raise slogans calling for Hindu and Christian genocide in Kerala. Police remained mute spectators and refused to take any action but were forced to after central intelligence agencies launched an investigation against the extremist Islamist organisation.

The youngster indicated that the end was close when he said Christians should stock up on amber incense and Hindus should buy flowers and rice flakes (for last rites). The event occurred at a PFI protest in Alappuzha that was allegedly sanctioned by the green communists and supported by the Kerala police. Citing security concerns, the same administration banned a Bajrang Dal demonstration. Media insisted that the boy warned only those associated with the Sangh Parivar.

To counter the high level of public outrage against the PFI rally held in Alappuzha, the terrorists attempted to portray the Durga Vahini Hindu procession in a bad light, including on social media. Moreover, the footage was widely circulated on social media.

The demand of the PFI and other radical Islamic organisations was that since a case was filed against the boy who shouted hate slogans in Alappuzha (the minor was not charged, but someone who carried the boy on his shoulders and some PFI leaders were arrested after a massive public outcry) and therefore a case should also be filed against this Durga Vahini program. Fathuddin Rashadi, state president of All India Imams Council, came forward with this demand.

Such camps are held annually under Durga Vahini’s leadership throughout Bharat. The program aims to instil confidence and strength in girls physically and mentally. PFI and other extremist Islamic organisations targeted young Hindu girls in Kerala. Will authorities act against Hamas sympathisers?
