Mohali, Punjab: Islamist Anas beheads Hindu girl

In the early hours of April 6th, a tragic incident unfolded in the Sunny Enclave area of Kharar, SAS Nagar district, Punjab, resulting in the loss of a young woman’s life. The victim, a Hindu girl, identified as Ekta, aged 27, was stabbed to death by a 29-year-old Islamist man named Anas Qureshi, reportedly a friend, in her own home.

According to reports from Organiser, the unfortunate event occurred when Ekta returned home late from work, finding herself alone as her family attended a Jagran event. The Islamist perpetrator, Anas, said to be in a relationship with Ekta for four years, purportedly followed her to the residence, where the fatal confrontation transpired.

Opindia reported that, Anas, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, fled the scene in Ekta’s car after the crime but met with an accident approximately 80 kilometers away from the location of the incident, near Shahbad, Haryana. Subsequently, he was admitted to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in Sector 32, Chandigarh, in critical condition.

The victim, a manager at a multinational company in Mohali, had recently relocated with her family to Sunny Enclave. Shock and devastation gripped Ekta’s family when they received news of the accident involving their car and the critical injuries sustained by the driver, later identified as Anas. Their distress heightened when attempts to reach Ekta proved futile, prompting them to return home to a heart-wrenching discovery. Upon entering the residence, the family found Ekta’s lifeless body, bearing multiple stab wounds, on the first floor. Initial investigations suggest that the Islamist assailant, Anas, left the scene after the gruesome act, leaving behind a scene of horror and grief.

While reports indicate a troubled relationship between Ekta and Anas, the precise motive behind the heinous crime remains under investigation. Law enforcement authorities are closely monitoring Anas’s condition in the hospital, awaiting his recovery to pursue further inquiries into the tragedy. As the bereaved family grapples with the incomprehensible loss of their loved one, the community is left shaken by the brutality of the incident perpetrated by the Islamist predator. The search for justice and closure continues as authorities diligently work to unravel the complexities surrounding Ekta’s untimely demise.

The investigating officer, speaking to Hindustan Times, stated that the motive behind Ekta’s murder remains undetermined. Her maternal uncle’s concern escalated when she failed to respond to repeated calls, prompting him to discover her lifeless bloodshed body at home. Subsequently, the devastated family alerted the police, leading to the involvement of forensic experts for evidence collection. Ekta’s body has been transferred to Kharar Civil Hospital for an autopsy, while the accused, Anas, has been charged under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Ekta’s untimely passing serves as a stark reminder of the tragic Shradda murder case of 2022. Shraddha’s tragic fate, where she was brutally beaten, strangled, and dismembered into 35 pieces by Islamist predator Aftab, remains a chilling reminder of the depths of human depravity. In the wake of this tragedy, collective efforts are imperative to address the root causes of such atrocities and foster a society where every individual can live free from fear and harm.

This horrific crime highlights the concerning trend of targeted violence against the Hindu community in recent times. It is noteworthy that there has been a disturbing increase in the number of incidents involving “love jihad,” coercion, and physical harassment, allegedly perpetrated by individuals associated with Islamist ideologies. What drives these inhumane actions by Islamist assailants? It is crucial to address these issues with thorough investigation and unbiased analysis, ensuring justice and safety for the Hindu community.
