Hubballi, KA: Islamist impregnates minor Hindu girl, attempts to escape, arrested

Another harrowing incident unfolded on May 4th in Hubballi, Karnataka, where an Islamist threatened and physically assaulted a minor girl. Following the thorough investigation of Neha Hiremath’s tragic murder, which deeply shook the community, another distressing incident emerged, exacerbating anxieties within the Hindu community.

Based on the reports from Suvarna News, Saddam Hussain Limbuwale stands accused of perpetrating sexual violence against a minor Hindu girl hailing from Amargol. It is reported that he acted under the mistaken assumption that the victim reciprocated his feelings. The victim, as per her complaint lodged at the Navanagar police station, stated that Limbuwale threatened her with harm should she dare to disclose the incident to her family.

The girl’s continuous bouts of vomiting prompted her admission to KIMS Hospital, where medical treatment failed to alleviate her condition. Further examination revealed her pregnancy, shedding light on the harrowing circumstances surrounding her health issues. During questioning, she revealed feeling intimidated and coerced by Islamist Saddam Hussain Limbuwale before the alleged assault.

In response to these distressing revelations, the girl’s parents swiftly lodged a formal complaint against Islamist Saddam Hussain Limbuwale. The gravity of the situation spurred protests from members of the Hindu community outside the local police station. BJP MLA Arvind Bellad expressed dissatisfaction, directing criticism at Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and the state Congress government, alleging inadequate measures to address the issue of love jihad.

Saddam Hussain Limbuwale faces multiple charges under the Indian Penal Code, including sections 376 and 506, along with additional allegations related to caste abuse and violations of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act. The victim, who is currently undergoing treatment at KIMS Hospital, detailed instances of coercion and intimidation by the accused Islamist, leading to her eventual disclosure of the assault.

Outside the police station, demonstrations organized by pro-Hindu organizations highlighted the seriousness of the situation, with calls for urgent action against the accused reverberating throughout the community. Police Commissioner Renuka Sukumar and Deputy Commissioner of Police M. Rajiv intervened to pacify tensions, pledging the arrest of the accused and adherence to legal procedures.

Islamist attacked police; shot in leg

Based on the latest reports from Public TV, Hubballi-Dharwad Police Commissioner Renuka K. Sukumar had formed a team to apprehend the accused, Saddam, after he was implicated in the pregnancy case. Upon locating Saddam near Sutagatti village, the team, led by inspector Sangamesh, moved to effect his arrest. However, Saddam resisted, attempting to attack Sangamesh and a constable with a knife, prompting the inspector to fire a warning shot. Despite this, Saddam persisted in his attempt to flee, inflicting injuries on the inspector and constable. In self-defence, the inspector ultimately shot Saddam in the leg. Following the incident, Saddam was initially treated at the government hospital in Dharwad before being transferred to KIMS in Hubballi. Another case was registered against Saddam for assaulting the police. The injured officers received medical attention at the government hospital, where Police Commissioner Renuka Sukumar visited them to inquire about their condition.

In the wake of the Neha murder case, Huballi has witnessed a third consecutive incident, prompting concerns regarding the safety of Hindu minor girls and the Hindu community in Karnataka. Allegations of bias have been directed at the Siddharamaiah-led Congress government regarding the investigation, while Hindu organizations have fervently demanded justice for the victims of a series of crimes perpetrated by Islamist extremist predators.
