Bulbul Rakshak found dead under mysterious circumstances; father alleges involvement of Islamists Amjad, Wahid & others: R’than

A woman named Bulbul, who worked at a beauty parlour in Rajasthan’s Churu district, has died in a suspicious manner. Her body was found hanging in the parlour, and the police have started an investigation. Four men, Arshad, Wahid, Muzaffar, and Amjad, have been accused of forcing her to die. The incident occurred on Saturday, April 20, 2023. Hindu groups have protested, calling it love jihad, and have called for a bandh in Churu on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.

Bulbul Rakshak, 24 years old, lived in ward number 27. She left for work as usual on Saturday, but when she didn’t return, her family searched for her and found her body in the parlour. The police have registered a case and sent the body for post-mortem.

Bulbul’s family alleges that when they tried to enter the hotel where the parlour was located, the hotel staff tried to stop them. However, they managed to enter and found Bulbul’s body with marks on her neck and hands. The family has accused Arshad, Wahid, Amjad, and Muzaffar of forcing her to die.

The Police have sealed the beauty parlour. Bulbul was unmarried. Her family mentioned that she had broken her mobile phone two days before her death, but the reason is not known. The incident has sparked protests, with Hindu groups demanding justice and questioning the administration’s handling of the case.
