“Abduction and Forced Conversion of Hindu Girl in Sindh, Pakistan”, Sindh Renaissance, December 16, 2023:

“The regrettable situation for religious minorities is that incidents of abduction of Hindu girls from different areas of the Sindh province in Pakistan and their forced religious conversion have become a daily routine. A 14-year-old Hindu girl from a village in Umarkot district has been abducted from her home, and her parents have been worried for 15 days.

A case of abduction of a 14-year-old Hindu girl, Cheri Kolhi, has been registered at the Samaro police station on the complaint of Shagan Kolhi, a resident of Village Hamiro Kolhi near Samaro in District Umarkot. The police have registered the case of Cheri Kolhi’s abduction 15 days after the incident.

Shagan Kolhi stated in the FIR that accused Nazir Ahmed Dhonkai, a resident of Village Porho Dhonkai, came along with his accomplices at midnight on November 24th. They forcibly entered the house and took Shagan Kolhi’s fourteen-year-old daughter, Cheri Kolhi, by the hand and abducted her in a white car….”
