Attacks on the temples continue in Muhammad Yunus-led Bangladesh. Islamists have been regularly targeting the temple and ashrams of the Hindu minorities. Recently, two Hindu temples were attacked in the Chattragram town of Bangladesh.
On the 29th of November, after the Friday Namaz at noon, large numbers of Islamists let out a rally in different mosques in the town. Islamists shouted anti-Hindu slogans and also raised genocidal slogans. Within an hour, Islamists turned violent and started to attack Hindu minorities.

A group of Islamists entered the Patharghata locality. There, Islamists started to throw bricks and stones towards the houses of the Hindu minorities. Islamists attacked the Shantaneswari Temple. They broke the gate of the temple and threw bricks towards the Murti. Due to the attack, the parts of the Murti were vandalised.
Another group of Islamists went to the Patharghata Jagatbandhu Ashram. The Islamists threw stones towards the Ashram and the temple there. The Islamists also tried to break the gate of the shops owned by Hindu minorities.
Some local Hindus said that we immediately informed the Army and the Police. The police and the Army immediately came, otherwise Hindu houses might have been attacked.
