Bangladesh: The Rath gets electrocuted in Bogura; five dead and 30 jinured

Sad incident happened in the Bogura district of Bangladesh during the Rath Yatra. The Rath got in contact with electric wire. Due to this, five devotees died and thirty others got injured. 

The deceased are identified as Alok Sarkar, Atashi Rani, Ranjita Mohanta and an unidentified woman. 

Today, thousands of devotees took part in the Rath Yatra in Bogura town. ISKCON organised the Rath Yatra. 

As per the local sources, as the Rath marched forward, it got in contact with the electric wires overhead. Several devotees got electrocuted. 

Several devotees died in the spot. Many fell on the ground due to the electrocution. The administration and police force immediately took the injured devotees to the hospital. 

As of now, five devotees died. Thirty others are in the hospital, undergoing treatment.
