The persecution of the Hindu minorities continues in Bangladesh. A fresh case has been reported from the Gopalganj district of Bangladesh. The deceased has been identified as Piyas Majumder(20).
As per the received information, this morning, Islamists attacked a Hindu family in Lakhirpar village under the Kotalipara Upazila of the Gopalganj district. In that time, Piyas was alone in the home. Armed Islamists tried to loot valuable things from the house. Piyas tried to resist them. In rage, Islamists murdered him.
Family members said, “His hands and legs were tied. He was beaten badly. Then, the culprits strangulated him to death.”
Notably, Piyas Majumder was his only son. When his family members and relatives saw his body, they started to cry incessantly.
However, in recent times, Bangladesh has witnessed massive persecution on the Hindu minorities. Targeted violence and attacks have been happening on the regular basis. Abduction and forced conversion of the Hindu girls have been happening regularly. Law and enforcement agencies have completely failed to provide security to the Hindu minorities.
