The persecution of the Hindu minorities in Bangladesh continues. A fresh case has come from the Nilphamari district where a minor Hindu girl was abducted and gangraped by the Islamists. The incident happened on the night of 27th of February. As usual, the news got no place in the mainstream media entities of Bangladesh.
As per the received information, the minor Hindu girl is a resident of Balapara village under Dimla Upazila of the Nilphamari district of Bangladesh. On the evening of 27th of February, around 7.30 PM, the minor girl went to fetch water from a tubewell beside her house.
Two youths of the same neighborhood, Abdul Kuddus and Saminur Rahman dragged her to the field. From there, she was taken to a corn field. There, Islamists put a piece of cloth in her mouth and repeatedly raped her. After some time, she lost senses and Islamists left her there.
After few hours, she gained her senses and reached home somehow. She informed her family members about the incident. But, the family didn’t get courage to file a complaint in the police station against the perpetrators.
As usual, this incident has not got any place in the mainstream media entities of Bangladesh. However, while talking to a local blogger, the minor Hindu girl expressed her painful experience she got through. She said, “While they were torturing me, they used abuse words towards me. As they were my neighbours, I identified them.”
