Bangladesh: A married Hindu woman is gang-raped in Pirojpur; no arrest so far

Persecution of Hindu minorities continues in Bangladesh. This time, a married Hindu woman has been gang-raped by unidentified goons. Although the woman filed a complaint, the Police is yet to make an arrest. The incident has been reported from Pirojpur town in Bangladesh.

As per the information, the woman is a resident of the Murshidbari area of Pirojpur town. Her husband works as a daily wage labourer. The poor Hindu family lives in a hut beside Murshidbari road. On Sunday night, around four armed men entered their hut. They tied up her husband and kept him outside.

As the victim woman narrated, one by one, four men raped her. Even one recorded her video on a mobile phone. Before leaving, they threatened the woman and her husband not to disclose the incident to anyone; otherwise, they would spread the video on social media.

The following day, the woman and her husband told their neighbours about the horrific torture. Soon, the news spread. Hearing about it, the SP of Pirojpur Town, Mostafijur Rehman, and other high-ranking officials contacted the victim. He promised a proper investigation and arrest of all the accused.

As of now, no one has been arrested.
