Hindus in Bangladesh have received a shocking New Year’s ‘greeting’. Raw beef packed in polythene bags was hung on the doors of three Hindu temples and a house in Gendukuri village of Lalmonirhat district’s Hatibandha upazila in the early hours of Friday. This is a border district of Bangladesh adjacent to northern part of West Bengal.
Four complaints were filed with Hatibandha Police Station later that night over the matter, reports Bangladeshi news outlet The Daily Star –
“Yesterday, local Hindus gathered at Sri Sri Radha Govinda temple in the village to protest the incident. They said their religious sentiments were hurt and that they would continue the protest until the culprits were arrested.
Talking to The Daily Star, Dilip Kumar Singh, president of Hatibandha Upazila Puja Udjapan Parishad, said raw beef in polythene bags were hung over the doors of Gendukuri Camp Para Sri Sri Radha Govinda Mandir, Gendukuri Kuthipara Kali Mandir, Gendukuri Battala Kali Mandir and Monindranath Barman’s house.
After locals saw them, they informed the matter to the police, who then visited the spot, Dilip said, adding, “Police have assured us that the culprits will be arrested.”
He said they suspect the incident could be linked to the local union parishad polls held on December 26.
Hatibandha Police Station Officer-in-Charge Ershadul Alam said they were investigating the incident. “All involved will be brought to book,” he said.”

The answer is all too certain: Another round of vicious pogrom of Hindus and this time more violent. Some Muslim Jihadists there will capitalize on this golden ‘opportunity’ to decimate the Hindus. And B’Desh Govt will remain a silent spectator as before and as usual (though knowing for certain that Hindus there will never dare to commit such mischief!).
Bangladeshi Muslims have been adopting all possible means to drive out the Hindus from Bangladesh though the latter being B’Deshi too like themselves by birth. Those who are unable to flee are brutally murdered, systematically traumatized, looted and their women raped to unleash a reign of terror. No help from Hasina Govt. No police come to thier help. And no assistance from the local administration. Even court is afraid of issuing a fair ruling and tender justice to these victimized communities.
