Anti-Woke governments getting elected throughout the world

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s post on X featuring a selfie with Prime Minister Modi with the hashtag Melodi has gone viral on the internet. While the tag “Melodi” has set the grapevines buzzing and provided an opportunity for some light-hearted fun and banters to the serious and somber discussion mills of geopolitics, it has also pointed to something highly important and serious.

The post regarding the mutual friendship of the nationalist Prime Ministers of Bharat and Italy respectively is a strong geopolitical signal to the woke lobby. As nationalist governments across the world are making a comeback, the woke lobby is getting the shock of its lifetime.

When Giorgio Meloni was elected the Prime Minister of Italy, the mainstream western media lamented the rise of the “far-right” leader. That Italy was all set to have the first female Prime Minister in its history least mattered to them, the main issue of concern was a non-left-wing government was coming to power in the heart of Europe.

After Italy, the Netherlands has become the next country in Europe where the leftist woke bastion is facing a crisis. Far-Right politician Geert Wilders is all set to become the Prime Minister of the Netherlands as his Party for Freedom secured 37 out of 150 seats in the Dutch Parliament. Formation of a new government typically takes a couple of months in the political system of the Netherlands. Wilders will have to most likely form a coalition government which seems tricky at the moment given his extreme views on migration and Islam.

The woke press labels Geert Wilders as the Donald Trump of the Netherlands. He won the elections on the basis of his tough anti-immigration stance, promising to curb immigration and focus on improving the quality of life of common Dutch citizens. Wilders is also known for his extreme views on Islam and has made many controversial statements regarding the same. He has reportedly said that Muslims who find the Quran more important than the laws of the Netherlands can leave the country and settle in an Islamic nation.

His manifesto reportedly spoke of a ban on all Islamic schools, mosques, and the Quran. He also reportedly promised that he would impose a ban on the wearing of a Hijab in government buildings if he got elected to power.

Blunt as he may sound, Geert Wilders has mostly stated facts vis-à-vis Islam. Many Muslims consider Islamic laws more important than the laws of the land. That’s what gives rise to conflicts in countries across the world where Muslim migrants reside. In Bharat, we are seeing the situation firsthand where the opposition to a Uniform Civil Code is coming mainly from the Islamic community whose religious leaders insist their community will follow the personal laws of Islam.

Geert Wilders had also defended Nupur Sharma over the remark she had made regarding Prophet Mohammad for which she was hounded by Islamists for what seemed like an eternity and had even received death threats. The incident had such a detrimental impact on the young politician’s personal safety and liberty that she rarely makes public appearances to date.

Geert Wilders had made the following post on X regarding Nupur Sharma’s remarks on Prophet Mohammad:

“Nupur Sharma is a hero who spoke nothing but the truth. The whole world should be proud of her. She deserves the Nobel Prize. And India is a Hindu nation, the Indian government is obliged to strongly defend Hindus against Islamic hate and violence”, stated Wilders in the X post dated 9th October 2022.

Geert Wilders had the guts to say something no Bharatiya politician had the courage to. Yet, he was being dismissed as an Islamophobe and extremist by the woke media. Perhaps, they couldn’t have imagined that the same guy would be all set to become the Prime Minister of the Netherlands barely a year later.

De-Islamization of Netherlands was a core component of Geert Wilders’ election campaign. Though obviously, he will probably have to soften his stance vis-à-vis Islam to form a coalition government along with other center-right parties. Another core component of his manifesto was a promise to put a curb on immigration.

Rising immigration has become a problem across the whole of Europe leading to disgruntled citizens who think immigrants are taking away their rights and benefits. While this might seem like downright racism and a simplistic connection, it’s not a fabricated concern. Europe has been under enormous pressure from international agencies to take in hordes of immigrants, a majority of them Islamic immigrants who have problems adjusting to the local culture often resulting in violent incidents and situations.

According to various media reports, one of the major factors behind the win of Geert Wilders in Dutch elections was the issue of rising inflation that the previous governments had failed to address. The logic is that these small European nations simply don’t have the resources to keep up the alarming number of rising immigrants and thus, they need to set their own house in order first.

The city of Dublin in Ireland broke into unexpected riots towards the end of November. Following the incident of a knife attack on children outside a school carried out allegedly by an illegal immigrant, riots broke out in the city as angry mobs reportedly burned vehicles, smashed the storefronts, and attacked police personnel.

The western media reports call these riots a conspiracy by the far-right forces over increased immigration in recent years. Most of these reports adopt a supposedly moral stance vs-a-vis the riots condemning violence apparently orchestrated by the extreme right-wing forces of Ireland that would eventually jeopardize the safety of migrants in Ireland.  Ireland has a huge number of Muslim migrants, and the riots were in a way an expression of public anger against rising Muslim migration in Ireland.

It would be perhaps apt to point out the hypocrisy and double standards of international media when it comes to reporting on incidents related to the right wing and those related to the Islamists and the left wing. The same media that sees terrible violence in the riots of Ireland portrays a terrorist organization like Hamas as practicing the right to self-determination and doesn’t even have the guts to call it a terrorist organization.

The same woke media gets suspiciously silent when Islamist mobs attack people elsewhere and Hindu minorities in countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh are tortured, attacked, and forcefully converted. When the same international media reports on incidents of violence from Kashmir or incidents of Maoist insurgency in Bharat, it lends a certain degree of legitimacy to these violent incidents by suggesting these people are fighting for their rights that have been apparently taken away by the Bharatiya state. One can’t help contrasting this attitude with the coverage of the riots in Ireland.

“Irish PM blames hatred for Dublin violence, says rioters brought shame on Ireland”, “Dublin riots highlight “far-right” agitation over Ireland immigration”, and “How the rise of the far-right in Ireland provoked Dublin riots”, are some of the titles of media reports following the riots in Dublin late November. Most of these reports make it sound like left wing has some sort of divine right to rule Europe and that the right wing is a pure force of evil. The simplistic dichotomy between the left-wing and the right-wing, that the left-wingers are essentially the good and progressive guys while the right-wingers are bad conservative guys has also been fueled and perpetuated by the woke media for decades.

Equating nationalism with fascism is another disturbing trend that the woke media has perpetuated. Be it the new government in Italy or the win of Geert Wilders in the Netherlands, these winning parties have won on domestic political issues. Immigration in these countries is a strong domestic political issue, and that’s why these people are winning elections. They are simply addressing the concerns of the local voters rather than playing into the hands of the leftist deep state. That’s why these nationalist governments are winning elections, and the global leftist deep-state is in a state of deep crisis.
