Jihadi Pinaki, known in social media platforms and YouTube as Pinaki Bhattacharya, an ex-Hindu who continues to use his previous name left Hindu dharma several years ago after he was brainwashed by Jamaat-e-Islami. Following his religious conversion, Jihadi Pinaki reportedly pressed his father Shaymol Bhattacharya, mother Shukrity Bhattacharya, brother Avro Bhattacharya and sister Lopa Mudra Bhattacharya as well his wife to leave Hindu dharma and become Muslims. This monstrous individual even attempted to trap his own sister into love jihad by bringing-in an activist of Islami Chhatra Shibir, student front of Jamaat-e-Islami at his residence and introduced him to his sister Lopa Mudra Bhattacharya as a Hindu by using a fake name.
Pinaki was born in in 1967 in Jaleshory Tola under Bogra district in Bangladesh and graduated from Rajshahi Medical College in 1992. From 1985 to 1992, Pinaki attended Rajshahi Medical College. This medical college is infamous for being controlled by members of Islami Chhatra Shibir. His religious conversion was the result of heavy influence by Jamaat-e-Islami and Tablighi Jamaat.
As his parents, siblings and wife refused to leave Hindu dharma, a desperate Pinaki began openly labelling his family members as Kafirs and even went further by stating, he can’t let his parents, sibling and wife burn in eternal hellfire on their death. But, none of such notoriety of Pinaki could not derail any of his family members. Instead, Pinaki’s family members, including his father Shaymol Bhattacharya, a respected school teacher, writer, and drama actor, was deeply disheartened by his son’s religious conversion. Their relationship soured to the point where Shyamal, in a fit of anger, disowned Pinaki, cutting off all communication. Pinaki’s wife, also a physician distanced herself from this rogue jihadist and later got separated.
While residing in Bangladesh, Pinaki, under the guise of producing life-saving drugs in his pharmaceutical factory, engaged in illicit activities, manufacturing counterfeit medicine and ‘Yaba’ tablets-a potent mixture of methamphetamine and caffeine-which were distributed through criminal networks. As law enforcement agencies began to close in on his illegal operations, Pinaki fled Bangladesh and sought asylum in France, falsely claiming to be a “political victim” of the Awami League government and victim of “radical Hindus”.
In France, Pinaki holds two occupations: he operates an illegal hawala business and manages social media accounts, including a YouTube channel with nearly two million subscribers. The majority of his YouTube audience comprises semi-educated and uneducated individuals from Bangladesh and West Bengal, along with significant viewership from Bangladeshi laborers in various countries such as Malaysia and the Middle East.
Through his YouTube channel, Pinaki Bhattacharya, allegedly associated with the Pakistani intelligence agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), disseminates venomous content and propagates vile messages. He targets Bharat, Hindu dharma, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), and opposes anti-Islamist and anti-jihadist movements within Bharat and Bangladesh.
He also has been openly propagating in favor of love jihad and encouraging Muslims to continue this notorious activity in Bangladesh and elsewhere.
According to a source, Jihadi Pinaki maintains connections with Trinamool Congress in West Bengal in Bharat as well as Hizbul Mujahedin through dozens of his followers and disciples. He also has been encouraging illegal infiltration of Rohingya Muslims into Bharat.
Pinaki has garnered popularity among radical Muslims and individuals belonging to the anti-Bharat and anti-Hindu factions in Bangladesh and Pakistan due to his jihadist and anti-India publications. He has allegedly encouraged Bangladeshi Muslims to participate in jihad against Hindus and join jihadist groups operating in Jammu and Kashmir, Bharat. Additionally, he has been reported to praise Hamas for their actions, including attacks on Israelis and instances of violence against Israeli and Jewish girls and women.
On November 26, 2022, Pinaki Bhattacharya in a Facebook post wrote, “Jihad is the only way [to] eliminate Israel from the map of the world. All my fans and followers should join the cause”. It may be mentioned here that, Pinaki Bhattacharya has been openly expressing support towards mega-terror outfit Hamas while he also has been cheering the October 7 Hamas pogrom in Israel, which killed 1,200 innocent people. Pinaki also has been expressing delight at Hamas’ taking dozens of Israeli and foreign national hostages.In a Facebook post published on March 22, 2024, Jihadi Pinaki, sharing his photograph, openly admitted his affiliations with Jamaat-e-Islami.
In the post Jihadi Pinaki wrote, “The night before leaving the country [Bangladesh]. I left the country on January 5, 2019. The next morning, I had to shave my beard and set off aimlessly. Five years have passed. To leave my country and cross the border safely, the former and current members of [Islami] Chhatra Shibir [student front of Jamaat-e-Islami] extended their dullest help, although CPB [Communist Party of Bangladesh] once taught me to treat as enemies. I will cherish this rest of my life who risked their lives to save me. They are my brothers. I am telling those who ask how did I flee the country – an those [Chhatra Shibir] members got me safely to Bangkok”.
