“Uttar Pradesh: Darul Uloom Deoband student detained for threatening Pulwama-like attack”, Organiser, December 27, 2023:

“Mohammad Talha Mazhar, a student from Darul Uloom Deoband, was apprehended by Saharanpur police for issuing threats to carry out an attack reminiscent of the Pulwama incident. The Uttar Pradesh Police, along with the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), promptly detained the student after he posted on his social media handle, “Insha Allah, there will be another Pulwama soon.”

Mazhar, a resident of Saraikela in Jharkhand’s Jamshedpur, is enrolled at the Darul Uloom Madrasa in Deoband, Saharanpur district. His social media profile, now under scrutiny, reveals multiple reshares of videos featuring AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi and politicians from Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, indicating a pattern of content alignment.

The post in question alluded to the Pulwama terror attack of February 14, 2019, where over 40 CRPF jawans lost their lives in an attack orchestrated by Jaish-E-Mohammad…..”
