Kerala assembly speaker Shamseer declares he stands with Hamas

Controversial Kerala Assembly Speaker A.N. Shamseer criticized the Israeli army for standing up against Hamas terrorists. The speaker said he was with Palestine in the war in West Asia. Shamseer responded that he has a ‘correct’ political side and stands with the ‘struggling’ Palestine.

Shamseer claimed that his position is that children and women should not be killed in any war. He did not hesitate to justify the Hamas terrorists by saying that the resistance of those who have been fighting for years should not be described as terrorism.

Many will ask if a speaker has political motives. When people fall dead, the speaker has politics, declared Shamseer. It is popular resistance.

Look at our journey from Mahatma Gandhi to Modi (PM Narendra Modi). The current regime declares itself on the side of Netanyahu (Israeli PM), who is killing people. This isn’t very comfortable. To justify Hamas’s terror attacks, Shamseer claimed that Netanyahu and Modi were elected dictators!

In Israel, Hamas terrorists have live telecasts shooting unarmed citizens, raping women and displaying them naked, killing and burning children, kidnapped minors for rape and beheading them alive. Is this the model of defense or resistance that Shamseer approves?

Bhagwan Ganesha A Myth?

On 21 July 2023, Shamseer emphasized the promotion of a ‘scientific temper’ in education over what he labeled ‘myths.’ He spoke sacrilegiously about Sri Ganesha and Hindu Itihasa under the guise of promoting ‘scientific temper’ while addressing school children. His words that Bhagwan Ganesha is just a myth created horror in the minds of crores of Hindus from different parts of the world.

Shamseer refused to apologize for hurting the sentiments of Hindu devotees. CPIM Kerala State Secretary MV Govindan defended Assembly Speaker AN Shamsheer’s sacrilegious statements, stating that the ‘Left party does not harbor hostility towards any religion or belief system.’ He criticized the ruling BJP for ‘imposing a saffron hue on various aspects, including history.’ He also said, ‘all beliefs of believers are not a myth’ when asked whether Allah was a myth.

The UDF, led by the Kerala Congress, refused to bring up Speaker Shamseer’s contentious comments about Sri Ganesha in the Assembly. According to a report on Janam TV, the Congress feels that talking about the “myth” issue will give the image of a witch hunt, alienate the Muslim community, and maybe impact the next Lok Sabha elections. The BJP does not have any representatives in the Assembly.

Communist Violence

Several Hindu Organizations, including the Yuva Morcha, called for Shamseer’s removal from the Speaker post. P Jayarajan, a prominent leader of the Kerala CPI-M, sparked controversy by stating that if BJP youth wing Yuva Morcha raised its hand against Shamsheer, they would end up in a mortuary.

Jayarajan is accused of murdering RSS worker Kathiroor Manoj and other political opponents in Kannur/Kozhikode. Shamseer is a protege of dangerously anti-Hindu former CPM Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan. According to the CBI investigation, the 2014 murder was carried out to incite fear in the public because many CPM members were joining the BJP.

In 2019, Shamseer’s Innova SUV was seized by the police on suspicion of being used to plan the murder of former communist leader C. O. T. Nazeer. Nazeer was attacked on 18 May that year, just a few days before the election results were announced. Nazeer, a former ward councilor and communist leader, left the party in 2015.

Nazeer ran as an independent in the Vadakara seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha election. The communist leadership was not pleased since they perceived it as a ploy to divide the communist vote share in the constituency. Shamseer lost by a margin of 3306 votes. Nazeer was chased, run down by a motorcycle, hacked repeatedly by CPI(M) goons, and the gruesome attack was caught on CCTV, which shocked the public. After spending weeks in hospital, Nazeer survived.

How Communists Fool Hindus In Name Only (HINOs)

Shamseer has represented the Thalassery constituency since 2016. After the myth reference sparked massive protests, Shamseer sanctioned Rs 64 lakh for renovating the Ganapati temple pool in his constituency. In August, the amount was allocated to renovate the Ganesha temple pond in Thalassery Kodiyert. This approval came for an application submitted by the temple committee members a year and a half ago.

Meanwhile, the Ganapati Temple Committee office bearers (communist HINOs) reacted to the speaker’s reference to myth. They explained that Ganapati means peace and friendship, and this is a place where people live in brotherhood without any disputes.

Temple Committee claimed they did not expect the MLA to do a wrong act, and if he had such a stance, Shamseer would not have approved renovation. Some immediately pointed out that the promised funds would be a myth since the Treasury has not honored payments above five lakhs in the past several months.
