In Himachal Pradesh’s Sirmaur district, a Muslim youth took away a Hindu girl. When the girl’s family reached the Muslim youth’s house with people from a Hindu organization, stone pelting took place. Some police personnel were also injured in this case. Now the police have filed an FIR against the Hindu activists. The girl has been recovered.
Details of the Case
According to media reports, this whole matter started on June 4, 2025. A Muslim youth abducted a Hindu girl in Kiratpur Majra village of Paonta Sahib. The name of the Muslim youth is Mohsin Khan. The girl remained missing for several days. The family of the Hindu girl then lodged a complaint with the police. This matter also reached Hindu organizations.
In this case, Hindu organizations approached the police and demanded action. When the girl was not found for 10 days, Hindu organizations gathered again in the evening on June 13, 2025 and started protesting. They also tried to find the girl by going to Mohsin’s village.
According to a Hindu activist present on the spot, as soon as the people of Hindu organization reached here with the police, stone pelting started from the other side. People present in the crowd responded to this. Some policemen also got injured in this whole ruckus . After this, Section 163 was imposed in the entire area.
Hindu activists allege biased response of administration
An activist from Paonta Hindu Jagran Manch (HJM) told OpIndia that after the matter calmed down, on June 14, 2025, the police started taking action against the Hindus. He said that the police detained 4 Hindu activists at the police station and later registered a case.
The Hindu activist also said that during this time no FIR was lodged against the Muslim side for stone pelting and no action has been taken against the boy. Meanwhile, the police have recovered the Hindu girl from Ambala in Haryana . Meanwhile, the girl has given a statement in favour of Mohsin.
Meanwhile, Hindu activists have accused the police of being biased. Hindu activists have said that the police have taken one-sided action. They alleged that neither an FIR was filed against the Muslims nor any action was taken against the accused youth. There is tension in Paonta Sahib after this incident.
