West Bengal: Acid Attack on BJP Candidate in Bardhaman 

West Bengal has seen an election of blood bath yesterday on the day of the Panchayat election-  Murders, lynching and so on. Now, reports of acid attack on BJP worker has been received from the Purbasthali area of Purba Bardhaman district.  

As per reports, the name of the BJP candidate is Parimal Mistri. He was fighting the Panchayat election as a BJP Candidate at 96 no. booth of Purbasthali-2 block. The polling station was in Ughura Govt. Primary School. 

During election hours, TMC workers were allegedly tampering with the votes of the public. Also, TMC workers allegedly doing Chappa votes in favour of the TMC candidate. He protested. Then, TMC-backed goons allegedly threatened him to face dire consequences. 

After polling hours, at 7 PM, TMC-backed goons threw acid at BJP candidate Parimal Mistri. He was injured badly. Locals with the help of a few BJP workers, recovered him and admitted him to the hospital. He is undergoing treatment now.

Meanwhile, Block TMC leadership denied the allegation. TMC Purbasthali-2 block president Badrul Alam Mondal said, “The election has been peaceful. No news of violence. No attack on BJP happened. To get media attention, the BJP candidate is making false allegations”.
