To save workers from violence, I joined TMC, said Arjun Singh after returning to the BJP

After joining the BJP, Arjun Singh said that to save workers from violence, he joined TMC.

Talking to the press, Arjun Singh described how the Police and TMC-backed goons inflicted violence on BJP workers. He said that many BJP workers were murdered, and many lost their jobs. Many workers were forced to flee their homes due to terror.

He also pointed out the situation of women in the areas which are near the Bangladesh border.

Recently, Arjun Singh, MP from Barrackpore, joined the BJP. In 2021, after the result of the assembly elections, he left BJP and joined the ruling party TMC.

After the result, West Bengal had seen large-scale violence against the opposition party workers. Houses were burnt, women were raped and gang-raped. But the Police allegedly remained silent spectators. Later, several cases were filed in the Calcutta High Court. The Calcutta High Court directed a CBI inquiry.
