Signs of dementia? Bihar CM Nitish Kumar forgets he is also the Home Minister, asks staff to ‘call the home minister’ at janata darbar

“‘Make a call to the home minister’: Nitish Kumar’s faux pas at CM’s janata darbar”, Times Of India, September 5, 2023:

A piquant situation arose at the janata darbar programme here on Monday after chief minister Nitish Kumar failed to remember that he himself was the state’s home minister.

One of the visitors from Kishanganj complained to the CM that his land had been forcibly occupied by some people. Though he had lodged an FIR with the local police station, the police station, the police and local administration was not taking any action.

After hearing his grievance, Nitish asked an office standing near him to make a call on an intercom phone. The office asked whether he should make the call to the home secretary……”
