“Punjab Govt facilitates Khalistani Leader Amritpal Singh to file nomination for Lok Sabha Election 2024”, News 18, May 10, 2024:

“Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government on Friday informed the Punjab & Haryana High Court that the state has facilitated ‘Waris Punjab De’ head Amritpal Singh, currently detained under the National Security Act (NSA), to file his nomination for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.

Considering that the prayers made in the petition had already been complied with, Justice Vinod S Bhardwaj said that the petition would be “infructuous”, according to a Live Law report.

Two sets of nomination forms and other paperwork were filled in and signed by Amritpal Singh on May 9. He was also allowed to meet his proposer and Advocate at Dibrugarh Central Jail, DAG Punjab, Arjun Sheoran informed the Court……”
