Union Rural Affairs and Panchayati Raj Minister Giriraj Singh said that Hindus of Begusarai are not safe due to Muslims who are involved in land and love jihad. He said that increasing atrocities on Hindus in various minority-dominated areas of the district, including Sirsi of Khodavandpur, Kathari of Dandari, and Saronja of Veerpur, is a matter of concern.

Union Minister Giriraj Singh targeted Congress and RJD

Earlier, as soon as Giriraj Singh reached Begusarai on 19 October, the Union Minister, along with the team of BJP leaders, met a girl who was injured by a bullet in Saronja of Begusarai and her relatives at Hussainichak of Ballia. While assuring complete security and support to the family, he attacked the Congress and RJD, along with the state government, for their indifference. He said that four daughters are already missing from Saronja, while action has been taken in only one case. Four Hindu daughters-in-law have also been kidnapped in Hussainichak.

Demands investigation into complaints of Hindus being framed

Later, the Union Minister also held a meeting with DM Roshan Kushwaha and SP Yogendra Kumar in the Collectorate Office to discuss the various incidents that had occurred in the district in the last month and directed them to investigate and stop the atrocities on the poor and scheduled castes.

He said that these incidents were not sudden but part of a well-planned conspiracy. He said that atrocities on the backward and scheduled caste population of Hindus are increasing. He also directed the officials to investigate complaints about wrongly implicating Hindus in the case of a Shiv temple in Lakho being damaged.
