West Bengal: School teacher arrested for criticising Mamata Banerjee in Facebook

Police arrested a school teacher for Facebook post, criticising West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee. He has been to 14 days judicial custody while produced before court. 

Prithwish Sarkar works as a school teacher in school of Hili block. He allegedly posting against TMC leaders for past few months. He also posted several posts about West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee and criticising her Govt’s policy. 

A complaint was filed in Balurghat Cyber Crime police station against the teacher by TMC IT Cell. Based on the complaint, police arrested the teacher. Yesterday, he was produced before Balurghat court and was sent to 14 days judicial custody.
