Digambar Akhara Sant disappears mysteriously before Bhagwat Katha: Haridwar

The cases of missing people are increasing in Uttarakhand. A sant associated with Digambar Akhara went missing under suspicious circumstances. Bhagwat Katha was to be organized starting December 10 at the Akhara in Haridwar’s Bairagi Camp. However, five days before the Katha, the organizer, sant, mysteriously went missing.

Sant Swami Pavitra Das went missing

80-year-old Swami Pavitra Das, who was in charge of the Katha, left the Akhara on December 5 to go somewhere and has not returned yet. His disciples have filed a missing case of the saint at the Kankhal police station. After the missing report was filed, the police searched for the saint. His call details are also being scrutinized.

While leaving the Akhara, he said he would return by December 9. Hence, the preparation of the Katha continued. However, Swami Pavitra Das neither returned nor could he be contacted. Haridwar City SP Swatantra Kumar said that the matter is being investigated. People associated with the sant and those around him are being interrogated. The police assured the Akhara members that they would find the missing Swami immediately.
