“Delhi pollution caused by nearer Haryana, not farther Punjab: Environment Minister Gopal Rai”, Swarajyamag, November 3, 2023:

“Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai blamed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for air pollution in the national capital, highlighting that the Centre and nearby state Haryana is ruled by the party, during a press conferenceĀ on Friday (3 November).

“Stubble burning has reduced in Punjab. Moreover, it is distant and with no Northwestern wind flowing. Pollution is being caused by surrounding areas like Haryana, where 20 districts are polluted,” Rai said.

Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) official handle posted a newsĀ reportĀ byĀ BhaskarĀ on X which says that of the 52 most polluted districts in the country, 20 are in Haryana and only two are in Punjab……”
