“Punjab and Haryana High Court order opening Shambhu Border as Farmers’ Protest mellows down”, Swarajyamag, July 10, 2024:
“The Haryana government has been directed by the Punjab and Haryana High Court to remove barricades at its Shambhu border with Punjab, Hindustan Times reported.
The order came from a bench of justices GS Sandhawalia and Vikas Bahl, who were hearing petitions related to the farmers’ protests on Wednesday (10 July).
The border was closed because a group of farmers had been camping there since 13 February to resume their protest march to Delhi. However, since only 400-450 farmers were left, the court found it safe to open the border……”
