In the past, these stories were brought to life by kathavachakas, wandering bards, and mendicants who shared the wisdom of the Vedas and other Granthas across Bharatavarsha. The emphasis on written knowledge, combined with lifestyle changes, has led to the decline of oral storytelling traditions.
