200-year-old Hindu temple vandalized in Bangladesh

A 200-year-old Hindu temple has been vandalized in Manikganj district of central Bangladesh. Officer-in-charge Abdur Rouf of the local police station confirmed the news to Bangladeshi news outlet banglanews24 as per a report dated November 20.

According to the report, Maa Kali & Padma murtis from the temple were found desecrated beside a road. On the other hand, a theft occurred in Radha Krishna temple in the house of Jitendranath Mandal of the same village just four days back. As a result there is fear among the Hindus in the area.

Officer-in-charge of the local police station said, “We visited the area. Preparations are underway to file a lawsuit in this incident.”
