“Woman Assaulted, Paraded Semi-Naked In Horrific Tarn Taran Video, BJP Says ‘Punjab No Less Than Bengal'”, News 18, April 7, 2024:

“In a horrific incident from Punjab’s Tarn Taran, a 55-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted and paraded semi-naked in Valtoha village by her son’s in-laws after he got married against the wishes of the bride’s parents.

A purported video of the victim being paraded surfaced on social media on Friday. Police said that the incident occurred on March 31, a few days after the victim’s son eloped with a woman and married her against her family’s wishes.

As per the complaint filed by the victim, the woman’s son’s in-laws allegedly assaulted her and tore off her clothes at a time when she was alone at her home when her  The victim further alleged that they paraded her in the village in a semi-naked condition……”
