“‘Withdraw application, or we’ll throw acid on your face’: Imtiaz, Jamshed arrested for threatening a woman Congress corporator in Chandkheda, Ahmedabad”, Opindia, September 11, 2023:

“Danilimda’s Imtiaz and Jamshed Sheikh have threatened to assassinate Chandkheda Congress corporator Rajshree Kesari for applying to be the opposition leader in the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC). By labeling Kesari a casteist, the two accused who vowed to kill her also threatened to throw acid in her face.

In this regard, Rajshree filed a complaint against the accused at the Chandkheda police station, and the police arrested both of them within a few hours. Both suspects have been charged under the provisions of threats and brutality.

The incident was first reported on September 4 and is said to happened in the Chandkheda region of Gujarat’s Ahmedabad district…..”
