The woman alleged that the land mafia Sheikh Hasan tried to grab her land. Local councillor Chandan Mandal and local police were also helping them.

She alleged, “Sheikh Hasan and his men were illegally doing construction work. When I tried to stop, the Police detained me. The Police beat me and erased all the videos from my mobile. I recorded the illegal construction work on my mobile.”

She further narrated, “The Police released me in the evening. When I returned home, I saw that the temple of my home had been demolished. I earlier filed a case in the court. The court imposed 144. I showed the Court’s order. But, the Police didn’t listen and allowed illegal construction on the land.”

As of now, the woman submitted a written complaint to the Superintendent of Police, Birbhum.

She also said that she had been threatened continuously and she had been living in fear.
