A recent case of train vandalism has been coming from the Birbhum district of West Bengal. Islamists allegedly vandalised a train. Stones were pelted. Some Islamists also vandalised the engine.
A video of the incident is already viral on social media. In a video posted in ‘X’, it can be seen that some people were breaking the glass of the driver’s compartment with stones. Some can be seen climbing on the train.
As per the local sources, the incident happened on the 12th of July, Friday, at Chinpai Railway Station. The Islamists were angry because the train didn’t stop near an open ground.
However, some people demanded that the train be stopped near the ground between Dubrajpur and Chinpai Railway Station. There was fair going on. The fair is named as ‘Alam Fakir Mela’.
But, the driver didn’t stop the train as Islamists demanded. So, the Islamist mob became angry and started to vandalise the train.
Some passengers alleged that when the train was passing near the fairground, some people threw stones at the train.
