West Bengal: 22 Rohingya infiltrators arrested, lived in Hyderabad for years

As Bangladeshi Muslim infiltrators are being arrested regularly, now 22 Rohingya infiltrators are arrested in West Bengal. Among the arrested infiltrators, 13 are children and 9 are men and women.

Today, the Police arrested these Rohingya Muslim infiltrators after receiving from the local residents of Labanga village under Sayestanagar gram panchayat area of Basirhat of North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. Arrested Rohingya Muslim infiltrators were hiding in a home and wanted to return to Bangladesh.

As per the local sources, arrested Rohingya Muslim infiltrators lived in Hyderabad for years. They had worked as labourers. But, recently they were afraid after hearing news of detention and push back of illegal Bangladeshi Muslim infiltrators in several states of Bharat. So, they decided to return to Bangladesh.

So they left Hyderabad and came to West Bengal by train. Then they came to Basirhat by bus and were hiding in a home in Labanga village. But, some locals came to know about them and informed the police about them. The Police immediately came and told them to show their documents of citizenship. Initially some of them showed fake Adhar Cards. But after rigorous questioning, they confessed that they all are Rohingya. Even, they showed refugee cards issued by UNCHR.

They also said that they wanted to return to Bangladesh through the Baduria international borders of North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. But, due to the strong vigil of the BSF, they couldn’t get any scope to cross the border. So, they were waiting for the right time.

Subsequently, they all are arrested. They all are kept in a government building. Sources said, arrested Rohingya infiltrators would be pushed back to Bangladesh very soon.
