“In yet another case of fake identity trap, a Hindu woman registered a complaint against one Daud Ibrahim, who posed as Rahul Gupta to marry her. The truth came out, two years after their marriage and the birth of their daughter. Based on the victim’s complaint, the police have registered an FIR (First Information Report) in this case.

The victim, a native of the Akhbarpur police station area of the Ambedkar Nagar district, accused Ibrahim of trapping her under false promises and now forcing her to convert. The accused runs a ‘Kabad shop’ in the Mirzapur Kodra village of the district.

The victim alleged that, almost three years ago, she came in contact with him. He introduced himself as Rahul Gupta and later they developed a romantic relationship. Within a year, they got married as per Hindu rituals and started living with each other….”
