St. Philomena’s College, Mysuru: Chaos ensues as Muslim students protest song in praise of Bhagwan Ram

In a shocking turn of events, the annual celebration at St. Philomena’s College in Mysuru turned chaotic as tensions flared between Muslim and Hindu students during the event. Based on the reports from Kannada Prabha, the incident, which unfolded during the college’s annual function, witnessed singer Shree Harsha’s rendition of “Jayathu Jayathu Jai Shriram” on stage, sparking uproar among some Muslim students present.

Muslim students assaulted a Hindu student

Popular singer Shree Harsha, invited to perform at the event, took to the stage and began singing “Jayathu Jayathu Jai Shriram,” a Hindu devotional song. However, this triggered unrest among a group of Muslim students who took “offense” to the song. Allegations emerged that these students disrupted the proceedings, accusing them of attempting to sabotage the event and even assaulting a Hindu student.

As tensions escalated, the situation deteriorated rapidly, prompting the intervention of the local police. Law enforcement officers arrived at the scene and swiftly escorted the unruly students out of the stadium, bringing an end to the chaos that had unfolded.

Video of assault on Hindu student by Muslim peers goes viral on social media

The incident quickly gained traction on social media platforms, with videos of the altercation going viral. Netizens expressed outrage over the incident, condemning the actions of those involved and calling for swift justice. This incident underscores the religious intolerance of Islamists, as Hindus face discrimination despite advocating for religious equality. Such radical ideology and intolerance towards Hindus are deplorable and warrant strong condemnation.

Escalating incidents in Karnataka; Islamists’ unabated extremism

Recently in Bangalore, Hindu youths were targeted by Islamists and assaulted for chanting “Jai Shri Ram,” being coerced into chanting “Allahu Akbar.” Additionally, a shopkeeper in Bangalore was assaulted for playing the Hanuman Chalisa. These disturbing incidents form part of a series perpetrated by Islamist extremists, fueled by radical ideology. The frequency of such incidents is escalating, posing a growing risk to Hindus in Hindustan. As highlighted by the Mysore MP in a tweet, it is imperative that we do not turn a blind eye to these incidents, no matter how seemingly insignificant they may appear. Congress-led Karnataka government accused of Islamist favoritism, allegedly fueling rise in crimes.
