A piece of sensitive news is coming in from the Sandeshkhali area of West Bengal. An infant is injured in the attack by TMC-backed goons. Taking suo moto action on the case, officials of the West Bengal Commission for the Protection of Child Rights(WBCPCR) met the family.
Amid protest and resistance by the women of the Sandeshkhali, an infant became the victim of the torture. The incident happened on 10th of February, Saturday night, around 3 AM. According to the reports, TMC-backed goons allegedly attacked the family. The goons allegedly broke doors and windows and entered into the house. To save themselves from the attack, the mother of the child tried to flee. The goons allegedly dragged the mother from behind. During this, the child fell from her mother’s lap.

A section of the media published the news that the TMC-backed goons allegedly threw the child. As the news spread, WBCPCR took suo moto cognizance and visited the Sandeshkhali area. Officials of WBCPCR went to the Khulna village. They met the family and provided much-needed help.
Tulika Das, Chairperson, WBCPCR, says, “Yesterday, we got to know that some unknown person barged into a house and threw a child from the mother’s lap. We took suo moto cognizance to meet the family. We met with the mother of the child. They wanted food, medical support and security, and we have provided them all of that.”
She also confirmed that she wrote to the Police and requested to provide the security to the family.
