Salim arrested for raping mother and daughter, blackmailing them with obscene videos: Meerut, UP

In Meerut district, Uttar Pradesh, the police arrested Salim, accused of raping a mother and daughter and making an obscene video of them. According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rohit Singh Sajwan, the accused had befriended a girl in the Lohianagar police station area about a year ago. He raped her and made an obscene video, then threatened to make it public unless she paid him money.

The girl, troubled by Salim’s demands, confided in her mother. When the mother refused to comply with the accused’s demands, he called her to a hotel, where he raped her as well and recorded the incident. He then began blackmailing both the mother and daughter with the videos.

On receiving the complaint from the victim girl, the police registered a case and arrested Salim on Tuesday (21 May) night. The SSP stated that the accused has confessed to raping the mother and daughter and making obscene videos of them.

The accused and the victims lived in the same area, and he had befriended the woman a year ago. The woman and her mother approached the police on Tuesday, reporting that Salim was demanding money for the videos. An FIR was registered under section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code, and Salim was arrested. Further investigation is ongoing.
