Rajasthan has unfortunately become an epicenter of crimes against women. It has been in news for another heinous incident, which has sent a shockwave among the netizens. Two Muslim youth have been arrested for the rape and a gruesome murder of a 15-year-old girl whose body was found in a well in Rajasthan’s Sikar yesterday.
As per the Sikar Superintendent of Police Ali Paris Deshmukh, this minor girl, who was studying in class 10, had gone missing on Sunday. Police have launched a probe based on a missing complaint by her family and found her body in a well on Monday afternoon. Everyone was shocked as they found a mutilated body of victim. It seems she was gang raped and then beheaded in ISIS-style, later her body was dumped in the well.
The accused were identified as Sameer (19) and Ghulam (19), and both have been arrested. A minor was also detained in the case and all three are being interrogated, said police.
The victim’s family had accused three Muslim youth of kidnapping, gang rape, blackmailing and murder of their daughter. Thereafter, a rape and murder case was registered and the district officials assured them of a fair probe and that the accused were being taken into custody for interrogation.
State BJP leaders and former Fatehpur MLA Nand Kishore Maharia staged a sit-in demonstration demanding justice for the family. The protesters were also demanding financial assistance for the family.
The BJP has slammed the Congress government and the CM Ashok Gehlot over the incident. “These gruesome scenes of taking out dead bodies of our daughters from wells after they are raped have now become common in Congress’s Jungle Raj,” state BJP spokesperson Laxmikant Bhardwaj said.
