Pune man Harsh Soni threatened and assaulted by Uber driver Javed Pathan after cancelling ride

A social media post by Harsh Soni is going viral. Harsh, from Maharashtra’s Pune, cancelled his cab. He claims the driver, Javed Pathan, threatened and assaulted him for cancelling the Uber cab booking.

Harsh shared his experience on social media. He wrote that he cancelled the Uber Auto booking because Javed Pathan, the driver, had a bad record with him previously. He tried booking another ride, but Javed kept getting assigned. So, he cancelled the booking multiple times.

Soni said that Javed had followed him about 100 meters from his house when he decided to take a different vehicle. Javed then abused, threatened, and tried to assault him. The victim shared Javed’s auto number, MH12RP6408, and posted his photo, tagging Pune Police and Uber India. The post went viral after many people shared it.

The next day, Uber India support responded, apologizing for the inconvenience. They assured Harsh that necessary action had been taken and asked him to reach out if he had further questions.
