NSUI leader Shahid Ghori arrested for trapping Hindu girl by pretending to be Manish Sen: Rajasthan

In another grooming case, Md Shahid Ghori (also known as Shahid Khan) was arrested in Rajasthan’s Bhilwara after a complaint was registered at Kotwali police station. He has been accused of assuming a fake Hindu identity (Tweet archived). Ghori, a manager in a mobile network company, became Manish Sen. He trapped a girl by spiking her drink and later clicking her obscene pictures, using which he blackmailed her.

Ghori created a fake social media account with the profile name Manish and befriended the victim, a local college student. He forcibly took the girl to his room, threatening to publicize her obscene photos if she refused. The girl learned that he was Shahid Khan and not Manish Sen as he had pretended to be. She fled from the house after learning of his true identity.

She apprised her family of the incident and the police registered a case of molestation and blackmail based on the family’s complaint. The police are investigating if other girls were also lured and trapped by Ghori. Ghori is said to have rented a room in Bhilwara’s Panchwati area, identifying himself as Manish. However, he kept delaying when the landlord asked for identity proof. An argument ensued between the landlord and Ghori and it is due to this that the girl learned the truth.

Following investigations, the police concluded that the accused was Shahid Khan and not Manish Sen. He also confessed that he had made fake social media account under the name Manish Sen. As per available information, the local public also thrashed the accused before the police took him away.

Reports also confirm that Khan is associated with Congress’ student union NSUI. He had also contested student elections under NSUI and was made the joint secretary in 2014-15. He has actively participated in NSUI events.
