Narcotic Jihad in North-East Bharat: Karimganj Police seize drugs worth 4 Crore, arrest three smugglers 

Narcotic Jihad is going on in full force in the North-Eastern states of the Bharat. This time, the Karimganj Police of Assam seized drugs worth 4 Crore of rupees and arrested three Islamists. They were arrested during an operation in the Ratabari area of the Karimganj district.

The arrested Islamists are identified as Sohel Ahmed, Jamil Hossain and Zahirul Islam. 

As per the reports, on the night of 9th of February, Friday, a special unit of the Karimganj Police detained a luxury vehicle near the Assam-Mizoram border. 

Upon searching the vehicle, the Police found 12 soap boxes and a packet. From those boxes, the Police recovered 150 grams of heroin. Also, from the packet, a total 19,800 pieces of Yaba tablets were found. 

The Police officials said that the recovered drugs are highly demanded in black market. 

However, on that night, a team of officials from the Ratabari Police Station of Karimganj was on a special anti-drug operation. The team was led by SP of Karimganj Partha Pratim Das. 

The Police said that a case has been registered against the arrested persons and further investigation is underway to nab the other members of the racket.
