“Muslim Sarpanch distributes non-vegetarian biryani to flood-affected people of Farrukhabad (UP) on Shrikrishna Janmashtami”, Sanatan Prabhat, September 16, 2025:

River Ganga is flooded in the Farrukhabad District and about 50 villages have been submerged including Raipur Chinghatpur.

“Sarpanch Shami Mohammad distributed non-vegetarian biryani to the flood-affected people of Raipur Chinghatpur village on the day of Shrikrishna Janmashtami as a gesture of help. Hindus had been fasting on that day. They were furious when they saw that meat had been served to them.

Mr Sunil, a local citizen, called up Shami Mohammad regarding this issue but there was no response. Then Mr Sunil posted a video of this incident on social media. Mr Sunil later alleged that people from different communities had been threatened and told either to eat the biryani or throw it away.

Activists of Hindu Mahasabha, Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad protested when they learnt about the incident and surrounded the Police station while lodging a complaint. The Farrukhabad Police arrested Shami Mohammad, his sons Saif and Talib along with Mohammad Sami aka Mustafa under under Sections of the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), including 196(1)(b) for promoting enmity, 352 for intentional insult, and 351(3) for criminal intimidation……”
