“Muslim Girl Forcefully Taken by Police Just Before Marriage With Hindu Boyfriend in Kerala Temple”, Indusscrolls, June 19, 2023:

“In a shocking turn of events, a young girl who was about to marry her Hindu boyfriend in Thiruvananthapuram was forcefully taken away by a police team just moments before they could tie the thali in a temple. The dramatic scene played out in front of the Kovalam police station, leaving the couple and their families devastated.

The girl, identified as Alfia from Kayamkulam, and her boyfriend, Akhil from KS Road, Kovalam, had been deeply in love. On Friday, Alfia made the courageous decision to be with Akhil and traveled to Kovalam.

In a meeting facilitated by the Kovalam Police Station Sub-Inspector and the ward member, both families agreed to let Alfia go with Akhil, granting them permission to marry at the Sri Madan Tampuran temple in Malavila Panamoot on KS Road, Kovalam, on Sunday at 5 pm….”
