Sohail Khan abducted and raped minor Hindu Girl: MP

A case involving the abduction and sexual assault of a young Hindu girl by Sohail Khan has surfaced in the city’s Janakganj police station area. The family members gathered outside the SP office and filed a gang rape case against the Muslim youth, demanding severe punishment. After assurance of strict action, the family members ended the siege.

A sixteen-year-old girl from the Taraganj area went missing on January 23. Following a complaint, the police registered a kidnapping case and conducted an investigation, during which they discovered that Sohail Khan had abducted the girl. She was afraid when she managed to escape his hold. A case of kidnapping and intimidation by assault has been filed by the police against Sohail and his father, Shabbir.

On Monday, the victim’s relatives surrounded the SP office, calling the police action “minor.” They claimed that Sohail, his father, and 8 to 10 other individuals had gang-raped and tortured her. The incident has disturbed the girl’s mental state. The police ended the siege from the main door of the SP office after assuring the family members that the proper action would be taken.
