In Uttar Pradesh’s (UP) Bareilly district, another grooming jihad case has surfaced. A Hindu girl from Bihar accused Mohammad Arif of luring her into a love trap and forcing her to convert to Islam. She also stated that Arif’s brother, Mohammad Talib, raped her, and when she resisted, she was brutally assaulted and threatened with murder.
Hindu organizations have called for strict action against the offenders. The incident came to the fore on 4 June in the Baheri police station area. The victim, a resident of Sunninagar, filed a complaint with the police.
According to her complaint, the victim is originally from Bihar’s Nawada and used to work in Delhi, where she met Mohammad Arif from Bareilly. Arif lured her into a relationship and brought her to his home in Bareilly’s Baheri area. Over time, he raped her multiple times and pressured her to convert to Islam about a year ago. He converted her to Islam, renamed her Sana, and performed Nikah with her.
The victim reported that at 2 AM one night, Arif’s brother, Mohammad Talib, entered her room and made obscene gestures before raping her despite her protests. When she threatened to report the assault, Talib responded with threats to kill her if she told anyone. The next day, she told Arif about Talib’s actions, but Arif sided with his brother and blamed her instead.
Arif, Talib, and their father, Sabir Islam, then brutally assaulted her and threatened to burn her to death if she complained. They warned her that the bodies of girls from other places had already been found in the Baheri police station area, implying that she would face the same fate.
The victim, fearing for her life, demanded severe punishment for the perpetrators. Meanwhile, Himanshu Patel, an official from a Hindu organization in Bareilly, has urged the police to take stern action against the culprits and protect the victim.
A significant number of Grooming Jihad cases are being reported from across Bharat, where the Islamic conversion mafia is targeting vulnerable Hindu girls and women.
