A troubling case has emerged from Pune, where a minor Hindu girl studying at a prominent college has been missing for several days. According to the complaint filed by her parents, the girl was allegedly abducted by Islamist Mateen Sheikh, a 17-year-old youth from Yerwada. FIR documents accessed by local activists confirm that a case has been registered at the Koregaon Park Police Station under relevant sections relating to the kidnapping of a minor. The girl’s family claims she was lured and taken away, while the role of one of Sheikh’s relatives is also under police scrutiny.
The FIR (dated 12/11/2025) records that the minor left home early in the morning and did not return. The complaint states that the accused had been in contact with her and is suspected of having forcibly taken her away. Police statements attached to the FIR indicate that CCTV footage and mobile location data are being examined. Officers from Koregaon Park Police Station have begun search operations and recorded testimonies of multiple witnesses.
Local Hindu organizations, including several ground-level groups active in Pune, have raised concerns, alleging a pattern of targeted grooming and coercion. Representatives from these groups say they have been assisting the family with documentation, follow-ups on the FIR, and gathering public attention after the case failed to gain traction in mainstream media. They have urged authorities to take swift action, pointing out that the girl has been missing for several days with no confirmed leads yet.

Social activists have tagged senior officials, including the Maharashtra DGP, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, on social media, seeking intervention. They have called for stronger legal measures to prevent forced conversions and relationship-based exploitation of minors. Despite the rising public concern, no official statement has yet been issued by mainstream media outlets, which has further intensified frustration among the local community.
As of now, police investigation is ongoing, searches are active in multiple locations, and the accused has not yet been apprehended. The girl remains untraceable at the time of reporting. Local Hindu groups state that they will continue to monitor the case on the ground and assist the family until the minor is safely found.
The rising tactic of trapping Hindu minors through deceitful relationships has emerged as a disturbing pattern linked to radical Islamist networks in several regions, especially in the northern parts of Bharat, where cases in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Haryana are increasing day by day. Just a few months ago, a Hindu minor girl was abducted by Tahir Qureshi, with the family alleging love jihad, targeted grooming, and systematic brainwashing.
