“Ameer Sultan, a Tamil film director, who is known for films like Mounam Pesiyadhe, Raam, Paruthiveeran, etc .is in the news for all the wrong reasons. His connection with Jaffer Sadiq, a former DMK NRI Wing office bearer and Tamil film producer, is being discussed widely in social media circles as more and more narcotic consignments are intercepted across the country.

Ironically, the film Raam made by Ameer is about how a son’s journey in getting justice for his mother who gets killed by a young neighbour after she finds out about his drug addiction.

Ameer tried to wash his hands off of Sadiq by claiming that he was unaware of Sadiq’s “other face” and also stated that the shooting of the film Iraivan Miga Periyavan was halted abruptly following the news of the ₹2000 crore drug bust…..”
